Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
i was under the impression resin can last a good 4 or 5 years if you have been flushing the membrane keeping it clean. If you do not have the "flush" ability on your RODI - then you may just want to replace the membrane. That stated, I'm hardly the expert on RODI's. I just go ask AWI since that...
He's quoted as saying the last time he checked on them was 18 months ago.
Well if I had $1,000,000 dollars worth of stuff - whether it's acres of corn or an acre of LR - I'd be guarding/checking on that stuff daily.
I mean - aren't there hurricanes that come thru Florida - wouldn't a hurricane...
i've used the ev120 - which is just shorter. the design is awesome for tight spots under the tank.
As mentioned the one downside was getting it to dial in initially. I found that my hands in the tank would sometimes cause the skimmer to stop.
One positive - because of the spray injection...
welcome to NJ! :P
i was using tap for the longest time in ny...but when I came to NJ - I didn't know that every county has like different water sources. So i know some folks here use tap - and others swear by rodi.
From a local perspective - I don't think you could go wrong with TB - you'd...
If we could rid a few post padders my "work" load would lessen. ::)
hint to new folks - PLEASE do not reply to "EMERGENCY" threads that are 2 months old...
So I will go against the grain here and say that there is no such thing as a "simple anemone".
Anemones require mature tanks and excellent lighting. Having one that potentially walks around is complicated enough - adding more just makes it more complicated. A "BTA" E.Quadricolor is a good...
Welcome to NJRC!
Define what you mean by "tongue"? Is this a reference to the foot? When you say yellow clam - is this a reference to the color of the shell or the mantle?
Without further info, you'll have to post a pic.
i would feed it - thawed cut up shrimp or cut-up silversides. I wouldn't do it frequently since it can be sustained just from photosynthesis. But I side with the idea that if it has a mouth, why not feed it?
i'll bite...
This is more of where i got everything - not necessarily what i learned:
Tank stand: Aquatic Obsessions (AO)
Light: Jazzsam
Equipment:SocalTropicalFish / Ebay / Harlequinreef / ReefExotics / PremiumAquatics / Savko / ThatFishPlace
Fish: AO, Ocean Gallery, brizjuan's tank...
you're starting to irk me... ;D
you CANNOT quit! For heaven's sake I'm still trying to get my frags growing and eventually would like to be able to "give back" to the club - including fellow members.
Did I ever show you the pics of my snails with hair algae on them. My wife kept complaining...
well i have a clam that supposedly uptakes mag - also a few frags - but not many. I think a possibility might be the synthetic saltwater used(i used reef crystals) may be slightly low on mag - and as you continue to do water changes - it becomes a cumulative effect.
Another possibility might...
What is your magnesium level at?
I'm not 100% sure but I had something pretty close/similar to what I see there and it's all turned to brown since I upped my mag levels.
So you've moved to search and recovery?
I had a firefish disappear on me for 3 days. I even took out the pvc cave it hid in (stupid me - it was wedged in there with it's dorsal fin). Kept checking the floor and the filter sock. Anyways - it came back out after it got used to my hyper tang...
Ah that does make sense. I've been thinking of buying another tarpon in the PA group buy to sit around as a backup - but weighing the costs of spending money on a pump I won't use - vs just ordering a new pump if/when the existing return pump goes out.
