I have a Sicce Syncra return pump and the thing is a beast. I can't hear a peep coming from it though even though I have it turned way down. Super pump. I didn't know they did powerheads too...
I've been using NPX pellets and I have no complaints so far. Been running for about 3 months now with no phosphate readings above .04ppm and nitrates run about 2ppm. I just increased how much I was using but it's still about half what I should be using. Whatever one you use start them VERY slow.
I bought a new MP10w ES a few weeks ago. Bought it online because no one around here had them in stock. I got it April 19th and the manufacture date was April 12th. Sounds good right? Wrong! I started getting stall codes and after some fiddling it seemed to be OK. It wasn't. It turned out that...
Thanks everyone for your help and good wishes.
On to the next question though, how long should I leave her in there? I was thinking another 4 weeks or so.
So, I never had the time to get to the store to get the Prazi. Looks like I may not need to though. I went down this morning before work I went down to check on the QT and my little Picasso girl looked like her old self again. Well, minus a bit of tail that I'm sure will grow back. She ate...
If you're replacing the sand anyway make sure you put the rock in first and then add the sand. If put the rock on top of the sand it may either crush the shrimp or the shrimp may cause a rock slide. I also agree with Mike, go with the Candy Cane Pistol it will make far less of a mess and it...
Not only will it precipitate but you also don't use the entire ATO bucket do you? I know there's always a half gallon or so in the bottom of my bucket. It sounds as though a dosing pump on a timer would be a good solution to your question.
I don't know about R2R but I know that AO also does tank maintenance. If you were there when they would normally be open I would guess that's why they weren't there. You can always call ahead to make sure before going though.
I'm telling you, I'm still not convinced that the Pistol you got pairs with a Goby. If they do, they're inseperable. The shrimp never gets further away from it than an antenna length.
Sweet! Looks like we're making another trip down to see you Sunny! It's a good thing because that last frag pack I got from did terribly in my tank. It's only about 3 months old and it just isn't ready for SPS. They looked beautiful and I'm sure they will all do great in CJ's tank!
I would say for most of them you would actually have to spot feed them. You really shouldn't have to do that more than two or three times a week though.
