That really stinks! I don't know of any inverts that will take care of them. If they can be removed for dipping that's probably the best bet but you'll have to dip them consistently over a few week to ensure they're all gone. Dipping will not kill eggs. Good luck! On a side note, those bacon...

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! With just the one frag in there, pull it out and dip it every week or so. A freshwater dip will work or CoralRx will do it. Dip it for at least 3 weeks straight.

If you're going to use live rock I would use it in the sump. It really is nice to start out with all dead rock in the DT. No pests! I had leftovers so I popped them in CJ's sump for a month or so and put them in my sump. Plenty of life on them. So far only pods have made it from the sump to the DT.

IMO, one of the best starters I have used is a couple cups of sand from an established reef. Even better, a couple cups of sand from a couple different established reefs. Don't forget that if you use a starter culture you're going to have to add livestock pretty soon thereafter or the bacteria...
