CO2 scrubbers get expensive real fast. You'd be better off running an airline outside to feed your skimmer fresh air.

Thanks for sharing....interesting. However, there is a balance in that the reefs also need the urchins. When the urchins died in Florida in the mid to late 70's from (they believe) a viral/bacterial attack, the reefs ended up dying from becoming overgrow by algae. So we need both the...

The only sure way to know is to test the tank. Drop the tank off at my house and I'll test it for you......note, my testing might take ten years or so. :eek:. :rolleyes::cool: Steve, you should be fine.

I recently went through this with a red and black cucumber (in a 90 gallon DT). I lost four fish.....no corals. As suggested, run carbon and make water for a water change. Your large volume will certainly help.

I'd go with the skimmer. Even though it's not the best way to run GFO, you could always throw it in a media bag and dump it somewhere.
