    ISO Harlequin shrimp

I don't know about the starfish knowing about the shrimp being around, but I do know the shrimp knows when stars are around. Can't remember who it was, but a number of years ago, an NJRC member commented about his Harlequin going "nuts" when he place a fresh chocolate chip star in his sump...

    LED Mount opinions

I'm assuming no canopy. Probably the least expensive are two shelf brackets screwed to the wall....and use the cable hangers that came with the light. For more than one fixture, separate the shelf brackets and attach a thin board between the two brackets and attach the fixture to this...

    Neptune systems Aquacontroller II

Sounds like a plan @njtiger24 aquariums ! The next time our paths cross, and I still have this, it's yours. Not 100% sure, but I might be at Herbie's on the 10th.

    Neptune systems Aquacontroller II

I would have thought @njtiger24 aquariums would have been all over this. With your interest in building your own controller, I've got to believe the guts of this thing is arduino like....or something similar.

    Neptune systems Aquacontroller II

This is actually coming from Rich (@GROSSR). I picked it up thinking it was similar to an old ReefKeeper....with a power bar.....no power bar included! I'm simply passing it on. For your information, HERE's the description on Marine Depot's site, and HERE's the manual. It comes with...

    Calibrating pH controller

The calibration solutions need to capture the pH range you wish to measure. Therefore, if you wish to measure a pH in the 8 pH range, you need to use calibration solutions of 7 and 10 calibration solutions. Hope this helps.

    WWII Enthusiasts?

Did he remain in service after the war ended? For him doing his service in the US, he would have had to serve for at least a year to receive the American Campaign ribbon/medal.

    WWII Enthusiasts?

Yep, for those years of service, the ribbon should look like this: The only thing I can think of is that my father came home from service with an officer's tent (that as kid's, my sister and I played in until a hail storm shredded it to rags). FYI, my father was a private, first class...

    WWII Enthusiasts?

The one on the right appears to be the American Defense Service Ribbon.....albeit faded. FYI, my dad was a WWII Marine.

    Bayer Disappearing from some Retailers

Joe, that's the stuff. I use 1 ml per 100 mls of tank water (and I typically make 300 mls of dip for 1 to 3 or 4 frags). I first remove the frag from the plug (unless it's a plastic plug). Then the frag gets put into the dip and swirled occasionally...for a total of 15-20 minutes. The...

    Bayer Disappearing from some Retailers

Home Depot and other retailers have decided to discontinue selling Bayer Complete because one of the ingredients has been speculated to be involved in hive collapse. So if you're a Bayer dipper, now's the time to pick some up......HD is discounting to get rid of their inventory. I just picked...
