Need to dismantle my 27" iMac Help!!!!

Have you tried googling the fix? I've done this for screen replacements on both laptops and phones....dare kids! They are step by step so that idiots like me can get the job done.

    Heater Failure

Good catch Marcus! Your Apex screaming at you with an alarm is like your wife, listen to it next time! Definitely dual heaters and through a controller, but my other piece of advice, and it sounds like you were set, is to have a spare heater ready to go.

    Might be Emergency

Are you able to go straight up? What's the underside of the stand made of? EDIT TO ADD: Oops....just went back and looked at your picture and it looks like the underside is the bottom glass of the tank. What are those black plywood looking portions? Could you hook into them somehow?

    Might be Emergency

Looking good. I'd include a hanging strap on that return line to keep any movement from torquing the bulkhead.

    Co2 Scrubber

CO2 scrubbers get expensive real fast. You'd be better off running an airline outside to feed your skimmer fresh air.

Triggerfish needed to grow reefs, new research finds

Thanks for sharing....interesting. However, there is a balance in that the reefs also need the urchins. When the urchins died in Florida in the mid to late 70's from (they believe) a viral/bacterial attack, the reefs ended up dying from becoming overgrow by algae. So we need both the...

    Tanking Sitting in Storage??

The only sure way to know is to test the tank. Drop the tank off at my house and I'll test it for you......note, my testing might take ten years or so..:cool: Steve, you should be fine.

Tiger tail sea cucumber just nuked in powerhead (1/2 of it!)

I recently went through this with a red and black cucumber (in a 90 gallon DT). I lost four fish.....no corals. As suggested, run carbon and make water for a water change. Your large volume will certainly help.

Biopellet Reactor - Who Would Have Known

Both are forms of carbon dosing (feeding bacteria), but the difference I liked over biopellets is that it only fed the bacteria in the reactor....which when sloughed, ideally got picked up by your skimmer. With liquid carbon dosing (vinegar/vodka), you are feeding any and all bacteria in your...

Biopellet Reactor - Who Would Have Known

I am constantly amazed at the new things I learn about my tank.....equipment, maintenance, live stock, etc. I started running biopellets in June of 2013....a JNS Alpha 2 Biopellet Reactor. Here it is right after I set it up: Being a man, I never read the manual....just set it up, filled it...

    GFO Reactor or Skimmer?

I'd go with the skimmer. Even though it's not the best way to run GFO, you could always throw it in a media bag and dump it somewhere.
