I also have a 2 or 3 frags of xenia i can bring to raffle or if anyone just wants any. They are loose unfortunately. Just rubberband them down and they attach quick. I have some attaching but they haven't walked on to the frag rocks yet. I look forward to seeing everyone there
thanks

I just bought a brand new oceanic ultimate 215, and i also have an AGA, hands down my oceanic is a much better tank. My AGA is a nice tank too but definately not better then the oceanic, JMO

Well after lots of research and sticking within my plan, I ordered a protein skimmer. I went with the ASM G4+ it is rated for tanks up to 400 gallons, using a sedra 9000 pump because i specifically wanted an insump skimmer. For the $$ it's a great value. I went and read many threads about this...
The only corals that most large angels won't touch are SPS and they still might at that. Anything soft and it's fair game. Consider that leather a gonner if you keep the Angel.

Seatrademarine.com is where i got it. Bernie is the guy who runs it. He's in Medford NJ. real nice guy very personable. Great prices too. I have purchased most of my rock from him and i am highly pleased.
Well on a side note. I was doing some research and i saw a canopy design that i think i'm...
I almost bought one once It's yellow with black lines right?. From what i read if it's the same one your inquiring about. I did some reasearch and found that they are a deep water species not very reef safe and don't acclimate very well in an aquarium and don't last too long. Most usually die...
Hello all,
Aside from RichT who is taking a break until spring. does anyone know any reliable companies or people who can make an acrylic sump. I was almost going to attempt it myself but then i thought better of it. I am pretty handy but i don't have the time to devote to it. I can make one...
I think the general rule of thumb is doing a weekly water change. the first one is 50-100% depending on the die off and then i think it's about 20% a week. but too much ammonia and it will kill all life on the rock. I removed i'd guess about 90% of the organic matter that was on the rock i.e...
That's good to know, i never thought about dosing calcium to keep the coraline algae up. I've had pretty good luck growing coraline algae its all over 3 sides of my tank but a little extra help can't hurt.

Not sure if i want to keep any zoas at all. I like them and there are many that i would love to have, but keeping them from growing all over the place is kinda making me lean towards not having them. My eagles eyes for instance probably have 200+ polyps. If i knew how to frag them it might be a...
thanks for the info on the canopy. I'm still in the process of designing my canopy but i have to figure out the support for it first. Well below are pics of some of the new live rock i'm curing. great color and interesting shapes.
Thanks

I concur, fisrt pic is a sponge not a bad thing at all. The second pic is an Aiptasia, remove them with joes juice or kalk paste before they take over your tank
