I used it for 2 months. It did reduce the hair algae, but it is not totally gone. The macro in my sump is still growing, but at a slower rate. The down side is I have had a cyano bloom since I started. I took a break 2 weeks ago to see what happens.

I think heaters in general need to be checked from time to time. The only problem I have had with a Visi Therm Stealth is it stopped heating. I have been using nothing but Stealths for 3 or 4 years and plan to stay with them.
