Hi, If you are still having to blow food off the rocks and sand you are overfeeding . You should just feed enough for the fish to eat. Any extra will sit and decay causing you water problems and feeding the hair algae . Turbo snails knock just about anything over, mine rearrange the tank at will...
All zoa's have a different growth rate . (ugly=fast, nice=slow) ;D The vitamin c if I remember correctly is more for color and helps its health to fight off disease, not so much for growth .
I was at one time to help out my zoa's. I have stopped and am getting ready to start the brightwell neo-zeo system. You can find a whole bunch of people in this thread that are using it and there results, hope it helps ,Paul...
Sounds fine but I would move them lower for a few days to adjust to the light and then start to move them back up slowly . Keep an eye on them,if they start to melt and less open You might want to frag off some healthy ones as a backup .
Shipwrecked , At one time I had the same combo, flame, dottyback, and added the jawfish with no problems . They inhabit a different part of the tank and were left alone . Only problem with jawfish is there tendency to jumping . I do not have a covered tank and lost 2 pearlys and a blue spotted...

John some of it sounds like a cycle and a month means your not done yet .
Does the tank have inhabitants and are you feeding it ? If so feed less .
If your numbers (nitrate, phos, alk,ph,salinity, nitrates ,etc..)are safe to add livestock some grazing cleanup crew will help with the hair...
I have a few shades of purple (ones really dark),pink, a little of the green and red . I just bought a pice of coral and the base plug has some really cool colors, cant wait for them to spread . I read about another way to spread it that is supposed to get quicker results . Take the rock with the...
Thats a really nice looking setup . The rockwork with the shelf/flat area on top will give lots of places for coral placement . Keep us updated with photos . Looks Good !
