Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
You could bring a pump and run the chiller for a little while to see if it cools the water off. Fill a bucket with some warm water, hook up the pump, turn on the chiller and pump, wait a little while and see if the water has cooled down. Of course bring a thermometer as well
The hot water makes the membrane expand allowing more to flow through it. The cold water makes the membrane contract making it catch more. The colder the better. Just keep an eye on things the hot water can ruin a membrane.
Started the generator a little after my last post. Ran the return and heater and also my tv. So happy I finally bit the bullet and bought one! Power came back on around 1:30.
Yea I think the tank will be ok for a little while. Not sure why I'm so hesitant to start the generator, guess I don't really know the new neighbors well enough yet, don't want to keep them all up.
Power went out here in Mays Landing about 1/2 hour ago. Going to wait a little while longer and fire up the generator. Hope my new neighbors don't mind, kinda hoping to hear someone else's fire up first lol. Hope everyone's doing well there's 9000 customers out in my area.
Cool idea for the ato reservoir (that a tough one to spell). I too have adopted a no tool loaning policy unless I'm present. It never fails the second you lend out something even if you never use it, you need it and can't remember who has it and for how long they've had it. Lol
Possibly black spot disease some call it black ich. It's caused by a type of fluke. Here's a link with some Good info. Best of luck!

The diatoms are on the sand bed. I took those Pictures right after a water change where I stirred the sand a bit. I thought it may be a nutrient issue as well but tested everything and it's all good. Po4= .01 no3= 5. I keep polyps just about everywhere in the tank. I think most people don't...
