Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Unfortunately I'm not a Facebook user.
But on the flip side, kudos to LiveAquaria. I can't take credit for finding this, but Eva Rose over on R2R published this:
Live Aquaria has addressed this on their FB page.
Link on 'Dory'...
Riding the "Finding Dory" film and offering up a Hippo Tang in 30 gallon tank......actually I think six gallons for a clown is also pushing it.
The store front is actually located in Illinois.
I'm going to try my darndest to be there.....I believe the shirts might be available at this meeting....woohoo!
And @rkalola , if by chance you have the smallest of frags remaining, I'd be interested as well. If you want, I could bring downbeach birdsnest for you.
You could also have an impact from one or both sucking Italian principles.....I'm talking either Bernoulli or Venturi....causing the reactor to now have it's fluids sucked right out of it at a faster rate then desired. :D (Actually Bernoulli was Swiss, but it sounds Italian.:p)
I really don't do much shopping.....too many corals and same with fish....short of losing a couple fish a couple months ago. My go-to places are ACC, AO, and OG2. I'd include Fang's, but I haven't been there since he's moved.......I was there, but he wasn't!
I'm not sure I'm following you....you want to tee or wye off your drain and then run that through "something?" Drains are passive (gravity fed), and you might have an issue running that flow through a reactor or whatever.....insufficient pressure.
I just built my first...
@dan_k I work outside....and if the weather is real bad tomorrow, there is a chance I'll be home all day. I won't know until about 10 AM or so tomorrow....and if I'm home, I'll let you know.
Sorry about this. When you're ready let me know and you can stop in for whatever I have too much of. I've got Bird's nest galore....grows like a weed in my tank. Originally from @downbeach .
Thanks Marcus.....that's it, but needs to be 1/2 inch.
I thought I found it at Grainger, but after reading the specs, the Quick Connect side is 1/4"......poo! (Also found it with 3/8 QC.) FYI, a 90 elbow valve would work as well.
Thanks Joe.....but what you raised is my issue. I can't fit that conventional Murlock (Quick Connect) valve along with two adapters on either side of the valve....between the manifold and reactor. So I'd have this valve:
and two of these connectors to tie into the reactor and manifold...
I'm looking for a 1/2" ball valve with a quick connect on one side and male pipe thread on the other. Basically this fitting, but with a valve in the middle:
I have a very tight space off my manifold and can not fit the quick connect adaptor, and then the valve....it all has to be one to...
Also realize @Army_Recruiter7 that it is metal halide, and will require a chiller. I too have never heard of anyone using a JBJ hood on a BioCube. I've got to believe it wouldn't fit.
