I do use an SLR when I have the time. But often just use my I-phone. The biggest difference is resolution and white balance. But some of my favorite shots are with the phone. For me one key is to turn down the blue and up the white on your lights.

I don’t know if this helps you specifically. But my qt tank does exactly same thing. I use a power head that I hold by hand and blow it all to one end. Like a leaf blower. Works pretty well plus it makes it easy to blow stuff off the frags as well
