It is not hard at all. Crawls on glass very well. I personally have three different varieties of GSP. All three are different shades tips and centers. And the polyp lengths vary from short and tight to quite long. And I have seen several other varieties as well. It’s a very diverse species.
Here are some pics of newer corals in our main tank that we may not have shared. We have lost a few frags do to accidental contact with other corals. For us. Anything lands on a chalice. It’s as good as dead
This is a new to us tank. Have been waiting for things to settle and make changes as they do. This is our third aquascape on it and are very happy with the results. Things that were damaged or not looking great have really bounced back
I agree. Sounds like you have things well under control. However. I do think testing helps us to dial in our understanding of what’s going on. You should post some pics. Would love to see your work.

I understand the thinking. And yes there is LESS air exchange when windows are closed but houses are deigned to breath. They are not by any means air tight. If you are away from your house for even 24 hours than that would be long enough to dissipate co2. No different than setting off a bug...
