My Grandmother had a couple Goldfish in a 10g tank FOREVER. She would completely empty the tank and refill it every week with staright tap water. She gave them away when she moved but by then they were already at least 25. Don't know what happened to them after that though.

I have a black and yellow sun coral and a dendro. The dendro is always open so it doesn't pose much of a problem for me. The sun corals are a little harder but not much. My method if kind of like Jcurry's but easier. I use a little eye dropper-like thing that came with some test kits for feeding...

If they were under the sand is it possible they're some kind of zoa? Could have been buried and stretched out to get to the light. That's what it looks like to me.

If you need some live sand I can donate a bit from my 30. I was going to combine some of that and some from CJ's tank for a little diversity. I have some rubble that you can snatch a few pieces of too.

That was a Chocolate Chip Star right? They aren't reef safe. Pretty sure they eat corals.

So after doing a little reading it turns out that ESV uses Magnesium Sulfate Heptahydrate. Is that the same as just Mag. Sulf.? Will I get the same Sulfate build up? Sorry for hijacking this thread but chemistry was a pretty long time ago and just reading some of these sites is going to make my...

So, ESV comes with Magnesium Sulfate to mix with the salt. Is that a bad thing?

I'm switching over to ESV. Got a box from OGII at a great price so I figured why not? So, for anyone using it, how do you mix it? I know weight is more accurate than volume but I don't have a digital scale that I would trust. Anyone have any suggestions for a good scale? Thanks!
