Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Clarkii's have a third stripe down by their tails, Sebae's don't. Small difference and I'm sure there are more though. Sometimes you have to go down to how many rays there are in the fins (I think that's a way to tell Percula/Ocellaris). Fish ID's can be tricky!
Same for me. I love my shrimp! Thinking of going with a couple more Harlequins too. Just the thought of feeding all of them (I already have 2) is a bit daunting though. Sexys are much easier and almost as cool. Even if I would never raise them it would be cool to get some breeding going.
I was thinking the same but with this tank at the end of it's life and the new tank coming I want to let it mature for a while before I get another one. I'm thinking that maybe I can get another clown to match my Picasso with it. Hoping for a Rod's Onyx.
That $25 RO/DI system is still available! Do it!!! It won't solve the problem but it will help and for $25 what do you have to lose? It even comes with extra carbon and sediment filters!
Just a FYI, having worked in and managed an LFS, there is not a lot of profit to be made. The markup for the cheaper FW fish are sometimes 300% and more. It's when you get into SW that the profit margins drop like a stone. The loss of one fish alone can ruin your week.
The biggest difference...
:applause: I knew I would get it eventually!!!! Thanks everyone for the votes!
Unfortunately, this has turned into a memorial for my poor friend the Mandarin. No clue why but he just disappeared about a week ago. No idea where he may have gone or what happened to him. He was eating all kinds...
It actually started out as mine. I was told that the 2 different kinds of Mandarins wouldn't fight so I figured I would give it a try.....well, it didn't work. So, CJ ended up with her and pretty much from the beginning she ate frozen like a champ. She's a tubby little happy girl!
I have a mesh top that I made using stuff from BRS and Home Depot. Easy to make and although I did lose a Yasha to surfing I think he got out when I had the top off.
So it's a good thing I got a spare wet side with my MP10s! I set #2 up today and it wasn't working. When I took the wet side out it was hard to turn the prop by hand. It was kind of .... grainy feeling when I turned it. Is that the normal thing that goes? Guess I better pick up a spare in the GB!
