Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I recently made a post in the "steals & deals" section, looking for a centerpiece. One of the responses offered some green sinularia. I decided to look into it on google. I clicked on google images of this and saw a lot that looked like the picture in my original post here but labeled as green...
Looking for a centerpiece for my 55. As you can see, the Kenya Tree just doesnt cut it. ;D I'm running T5's (4 bulb) and parameters are good. I currently have mostly softies. Shrooms, leather and such. A couple zoa frags and a few heads of hammer that seem to be doing well. Any suggestions?
Well....I have a bunch of the small blue legged ones and they wont touch it. I have a scarlet that doesnt touch it either. I just cut my lught time down and feeding to minimum to hopefully cut it back. If it gets worse, I will be in the market for a sea hare.
I would make the container a little bigger so you can put a float valve with an auto shut off to the unit. I havnt doen this yet as I don't have my unit but this is how it was explained to me on how to avoid making indoor swimming pools.
I have them in my canister as well and never go out of the way to scrape them off. A lot do come off though when I go over the sides of the canister during maintenance.
Blange3, Thanks for that tip about watching out for them interfering with the parts. Something I don't think about.
Re: Ricwilli's 210 build
Here is my guess...(correct me if i'm wrong) Just in case he wants to drain specific sections of the sump or the frag tank, or both since there are shut off valves above both??
Did anyone feel that 2.8 earthquake this morning around 9:45? It apparently was felt throughout south Jersey along with Delaware.
