I'm willing to bet they have the same fans as the Ocean Revive. So Yes, they are quiet.

    Icecap Battery Backup issues

Hold on one moment. Doesn't the Jebao pump run off of 120 volts AC.....that is then converted to DC within the unit. AND, isn't the IceCap battery backup a 12 volt DC power supply. I think we have a problem of adding apples and oranges, and coming up with squat!

    Lighting Frustration

Did you see my thread about the issues I had with my Apollos.....HERE? I'm wondering if you have the same issue with the 026's you have. By the way, they are manufactured in China. If you go the Ebay route, I'm extremely delighted with THIS fixture I purchased for $78.....it has gone up to...

    Entering the 21st Century

Mike, the only way that's happening is if you buy me a smart controller for Christmas. I'm still stuck in the 90's with my ReefKeeper II controllers that communicate with nothing! And that's the way I want it. When I'm not home, I want to enjoy myself and not get notices from my...

    Entering the 21st Century

I guess I've finally arrived. To my objections, and kicking and screaming like a two year old spoiled brat, my wife bought me a cell phone.....my very first. And now insists I take it with me. I'm not a happy camper. The younger crowd can't understand this, considering they were born...

    My Christmas Cop-out

My neighbor has only one and it lights up the whole front of the house and up the large oak trees she has. It is maybe 20 feet from the house. I also saw on the news the concern of these lights shooting up into the sky and hitting pilots eyes. So buy them now before they pull them off the...

    Led issue.

Joe, HERE is the link to my original LED issues....and lack of thermal compound. It might be too late, but the best bang for the buck....and superior thermal performance....is Arctic Silver Ceramique 2.....$7 for 25 grams. At least you where still under warranty.

Lost a good friend this past week. :cry2: I'm not sure if he committed suicide, died of old age, starved, or just did a boneheaded thing and got caught. I'm talking about my big Mexican Turbo that I've had since the beginning. The day before Thanksgiving I found him perched on a...

    DSA 135....

When I ran T5's, I flipped them out once a year. I'd like that combo...I like blue.......and I think that would be pretty blue. I'll guess 15K blue....again a guess.

    New tank choice

Don't know the truth, but I've heard rumblings that DSA has gone belly-up. If true, you might be able to find a deal, but realize it comes with no warranty.

    DSA 135....

Looking good! A couple comments/suggestions: 1. Use either paperless drywall or some exterior sheathing....I used exterior oriented strandboard in my laundry room. It can take the abuse of my wife throwing stuff around, while the drywall would have had multiple holes by now. 2. If you...

    Moisture

First off, the summer months are not an issue in our house. It's when the outside temperature drops below, say 40. What happens is that I start to get condensation on my windows. I've learned to live with this. The one issue I do have on very cold days is the coldest room in the...

When I first set up my BioPellet reactor June, 2013, I was told to cover it up because the bacteria preferred darkness. So I took a piece of four inch drain pipe and made a cover for the reactor that even had a door to view the pellets moving: Jump ahead now, almost 2 1/2 years, and I'm not...
