I too have an SWC 160 with a crap Atman pump. I agree with saltkreep....first make sure the volute isn't precipt'ed up with crud. I've had to chip crude out of my volute. Simply soaking in vinegar takes too long. The second suggestion is the Atman....they tend to stall....and my guess is...
