Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
You are both correct. The reason for moving the top layer of water is because that is the point of least resistance. The pump can push the most amount of water before colliding with rock, coral, etc. This flow travel across the top to the opposite side, down that wall and an undercurrent is...
First of all, welcome back and thanks for coming back and helping all make MACNA as great as it was. I agree with Phyl 100% on the 120. anytime anybody asks me, I tell them don't bother looking at the 90...If you have room for a 90, you have room for a 120 and will be much happier with that 6"...
Had a 3-way plug meltdown a few months ago. Breaker did not trip. My Reefkeeper Elite was ultimately what shut the power down! Glad I had it on the Reefkeeper

Thumbs up to you Dave. Great info. I FINALLY found out what has been worrying me in my tank lately. I seem to have hydroid Myrionema labeled BAD an I am finding it is spreading almost everywhere. Now I have to irradicate them before they are in plague proportions and do damage :'( I have no idea...
I too Love my 120. As JRWOHLER said the you can get any kind of fixture because they are so common. I really like the footprint. You can get some nice realestate for coral in there. 24"height is not bad at all especially if you are going to do a DSB. I am short with short arms and could reach...
Nice bax, Thanks for the instructional pics. I was actually thinking about building the same thing, but I need to control bubbles more. How expensive is that well screen and does it come in a different diameter?

All of your pics looked great. Sorry to hear about the nem. It looks like it was a nice one. Would you happen to know what makes them "bubble". I have one that bubbled when I first got it, split about 4 times in six years and only the clone seems to...
Phyl, you may be able to use this place that Kelly used to work for.http://www.totalplastics.com/products/category/21?page=4 If you need me to pick up at the reef or Total plastics, let me know

Absolutely awesome Wendy. It is my dream for my tank to look as good as that. Now that the tank has been established for a while, how much do you find yourself "fussing" over it? Hourly, daily weekly? LOL Sometimes I can't keep my hands out of my tank. Are you going to MACNA? Can't wait to see...
As stated earlier alcohol based paints are very dangerous. My father lost a whole tank of fish using KILZ in the room adjacent to the tank. VENTILATION is the key in my book.
