Hello all,
Last night i introduced a flame angel into my tank which has a Tomini Tang and 2 Ocellaris clownfish. The Tang has been harassing/fighting with the flame angel so much so that it is in hiding. I haven't seen the flame in 4 hours. I'm hoping its not dead. Will this subside? Tomini's...
not reproducing but they are blisters. i've been told that it was stress related/poor acclimation. I bought them from someone that posted them online and they were shipped very poorly. the bag was leaking and barely any water in it. And I rush acclimated them so i wouldn't loose them. They are...
I think a lot of it is trial and error. I've heard people getting the same spectrum bulb by a different manufacturer and everyting in the tank looked different.

Yea it's a great Idea, i never thought of using it for a tank, but it makes perfect sense. I have a high water alarm on my sump and i can't tell you how many times it's saved me from a flooded basement. I swear by them. I'm going to run out and get one for my tank.

Usually you get what you pay for, but not always. With large expensive purchases like MH lighting i would probably buy one of the name brands from one of the larger stores. like DFS and such. Usually you can pick one up in one of the selling forums in any of the reef sites for a great price...
I actually found it on 2 rocks. I cooked them last nite and am now in the process of recurring it. The water they are curing it turned brownish/green it's disgusting. The cycle should be quick. i'm gonna guess about 2-3 weeks i'll check the ammonia in a week and see what i get. Hopefully i wont...
3 tangs woould be too much in that tank. How about the smaller Anthias species like a Bartletts or dispar. they are beautiful and kinda hang out in the middle of the tank.

you cut the mushroom off at the foot close to the rock its already attached too. Just use bridal veil netting to attach to the new rock. place the netting over it where you want the mushroom to attach so it doesn's slip of and it will attach there. It takes about a week or so to attach. Also you...
IMO if your tank is new and you have diatoms, i would not have put any corals in the tank for at least 6 months. it looks like a torch? am i right? your probably going to stress it and it might die

I do have a piece of live rock in there that he finds as a refuge. I so have Ocean nutrition alage in a clip for him. I will soak the mysid in garlic today. I will slowly add a piece of pellet or flake in there and see what happens. I'm sure eventually he will take the bait so to speak
thanks

Hello all,
I currently have a Flame Angel in QT that is very shy and only eating Mysid shrimp. How do i wean him onto pellet food and hopefully some flake in the future. He is eating but he's not a very big eater. Any ideas or recommendations greatly appreciated
Thanks
Harry
good luck with that, i lost a fish to Ich and it's hard, I had to leave my tank fallow for 3+ months as a precaution and now i am hopefully Ich free forever.
good luck
