I have a couple layers of pond liner under mine to cut down on vibration....this might help you. Mag12 I don't have any issues with mine have always had the liner there though.

I agree should be the most volume but there are two problems noise and starting. If for a small volume of air I get a quieter/easier starting pump I will stick with the PPW.

I have one cleaner and one peppermint shrimp, specifically the cleaner vanished for just short of a week the last molt. The peppermint appears at random intervals. I wouldn't write it off yet.

I have some coraline now but that is not an issue for me. I haven't taken any pics since I stole your T idea for my return. ;D Also note I have gotten rid of the timer...well it is still hanging there but is unused. Just so Bob doesn't have a cow. ;D

No it oscillates a bit. I think it is one the washers, I spoke to their customer service and that is what they suggested it would be. I am pretty excited about the new pumps too. Makes you wonder why you would buy the old controlable K4s? And if their controller unit will come down in price?
