yeah - I just noticed that too. If you want to clean the impeller - you can just tug it off... it's a magnet that is keeping it on the Kalk reactor. Sorry for the fuzziness - I just took a quick photo.

actually - the housing and impeller are one piece. They should twist off the PM Kalk Reactor together.

i've never seen a maxi-jet run inline. I would think that might cause a flood. As for running carbon in a phos reactor - I would guess that would work. You sure have a lot of stuff running on this 29g. Why do you need carbon? to polish the water?
