aren't there still flatworms in there? at least - i think I see several in this last pic...
also the stringy stuff - could it be like vermetid snails leftover mucus? I have on experience with FWE in the display so not sure if they'd even live thru that.
Check the end caps - make sure they are tight and secure.
Then check and make sure the bulbs fit snugly in the endcaps.
Finally make sure the wires connecting the endcaps are connected properly to the ballast.
Could've been that during the move that one of the wires came loose from the end cap.
follow up on dave's comments...the return section does look low in that last pic.
How are you doing top-offs? If you set a auto-top-off so that the return never runs that low - then maybe that will solve the microbubble issue?
I don't know why you'd have saltspray on the locline - that stuff...
no that can't be it. I built my dursos per the website and the cap is flush with the overflow...so that makes the drain a good few inches lower than that water line of the display tank.
The hole sounds too small to me.
unfortunately napoli's didn't make it...he just didn't have enough time. I know he tried to move them to someone who did have time but I guess it was too late.
just wait for matt to chime in. He was the guy who managed the table with the sea horses at the fragswap.
typically i've always caught crabs when they venture out at night for food. if you can pinpoint where it is - you could place some food near the LR and position a pair of pinchers/tongs above - and just wait.
The other option is to remove the LR in question and skewer it out.
hey - i noticed you have a heater in the tank there - (did i ask this of you before?...sorry age is getting to me) - anyways - do you ever find that the anemones move? Just be careful they can't reach the heater (especially the foot).
My kids would probably cry...we get bunnies ALL the time.
Actually the other day - 3 female turkeys flew by and landed in my neighbors yard. Unfortunately right when I stepped outside to snap a photo - they went airborne.
Would it have been legal for me to whack one if she landed in my yard?
thanks - I was just wondering...whenever we're in the area my kids nag the heck out of me about going in there. Great Adventure is like the mecca for my kids but if I could go someplace closer and save money - that works. 'Course in the summer there's always the shore...ah - summer...my how...
since the nautilus requires a mag 7 - you'll be pushing more water thru it and by default I would guess that would be better than the 500 gph with the berlin.
But I don't have any experience with either skimmer. The only thing though is that the TE is listed at 23" - kinda tall if you are...
the wavebox is not designed for 4 ft tanks - so if malulu mirrored his box of the original 6212 - the wave frequency is not ideal and obviously the box is rather big in the tank.
the smaller the volume of water the more easily it can be affected by minor changes (e.g. heater stuck, power outtage, topped off with saltwater instead of RO, etc.).
Is it possible? Sure. The other thing to realize is to avoid overstocking. You can't put two clowns and a tang and hope that it...
wow....agree with phyl - don't stress - i'm sure he's in good hands.
It's natural to feel concerned but think of it this way - you'll be helping him out in the long run with a long and healthy life.
