    Bulkhead Sealing... To Silicone or Not to Silicone

    It doesn't matter if the flange is on the "wet" or "dry" side. What matters is that the gasket is on the flange side. Either way the gasket is sealed between the flange and tank and creates a tight seal.

    Or are you reffering to 3 watts of light to 1 gallon of water? What type of lighting? What spectrum of lighting? A little more info about your tank may be helpful too.

    Mid October should still be fine for a dive. Shouldn't be as much boat traffic either at that time of year. Windmill does do parties. I'm sure we could probably get a couple dozens dogs. Hell maybe we can get them to donate to our cause. :D

    Well it was another great time with some great friends. Wasn't much collecting of fish done on this trip, but we did collect some good conversation and memories We will definitely have to do this again before the weather gets cold. Next time I will bring some cinder blocks and maybe we wont't...

    The gasket always goes on the flange side of the bulkhead, not the nut side. Doesn't matter if the flange is inside or outside the tank always put gasket on the flange side.

    You would be much better off getting captive bred seahorses that are trained to eat frozen mysis, that will make feeding much easier. Also it is not advisable to mix seahorses and pipefish in the same tank. There are no Cb pipefish available so all the ones you get will be wild caught. Mixing...
