    Glueing Zoas

We are big fan of IC gel. We grab the zoa frag and make sure you glue it the correct side down (make sure it can open), leave it in the air for a few second and then right into the tank. Low flow, let it set.

    First frag tank

That 20h was our first tank together in our old apartment back in 2008/2009 and it was a great tank. Just enough to have fun, but still small enough for about a total of an hour a week to run.

    E-a-g-l-e-s eagles!

I was at the game today, and I cannot wait until next week. This could be a very interesting division run here at the end.

    Favia Mounting

Favias will grow and encrust so give them something to grow and encrust onto. Acans will grow and form their own skeleton but give them room. Sandbeds can be tough, becuase sand can cover and kill corals. I agree with dppitone, things glued onto the rocks will have a better chance to grown...

    First frag tank

If you tie it in, it will be easier. However, having it separate might be an advantage because it can also work as a QT tank.

November Meeting: Home of mnat and NikkiT

You have a way with words that perfectly encapsulates the situation. That is exactly what happened. We had a really good one that got lost to the site crash that was really funny. I believe the term mermaid Nikki was thrown around by you Olivier.

    First frag tank

We ran a 20g high as a display tank for over a year and had some amazing success with it. In fact it was one of our best tanks ever until we lost it to a power outage. How did we do it? Equipment: Tank HOB remora skimmer HOB aquafuge refugium small (they both fit perfect on the back of a 20g...

    Interesting Tang Behaviour

I remember reading one other thread were a tang was doing the same thing. As long as he is pooping inside the tank, I think you will be ok.

    My new 40 breeder

Look at the par38 bulbs with a gooseneck type hanger, you can find them pretty cheap and if you don't really need the light, I think they will work fine.

    2013 DVRC Frag Swap

We had a great time as well, it was really nice meeting a few of you today that we only really talk to on the boards. Vendors had some great stuff, raffles were very nice but we were too tired to stick around.

    True JF Bloodshots??

There are some legit zoas in that pic so whoever it is knows there stuff. However a lot of people are passing off similar morphs as jfox bloodshots even though they are wild. If they are cheaper than retail, why not. If they are full bloodshot prices, I would pass.

    40g mixed reef

Good call in waiting to move, I have moved tanks more than I would ever want to and it is not fun. Check out the deep blue 80g "frag" tank. I have one and they are awesome and are 4 feet.

    Found some pests i think

Flatworm exit you can dose directly into the tank, just be careful of your other inverts in the tank.

    Found some pests i think

Dip your zoas in Flatworm stop, it will kill them all. http://www.practicalcoralfarming.com/zoonudis.html
