Today was great. My wife (Mrs Sponge) and I were graciously invited to see Danger Daves tank. WOW WOW WOW what a great set up. Beautiful DT and wonderful frag tank. Lighting is beautiful. Rock work is beautiful. Very automated and clearly well maintained. We can only hope to have a system half...
Back to the gasket. Yes absolutely inside. And in my experience hand tight plus 1/8 turn. It is easy to over tighten Snug is all you want. Viewing your pic. I ain’t that just pvc. If so. Pvc cement it
Concerned... possibly. But it’s common for pressurized connections to “ sweat “. And usually you will get a pinch of salt creep for a few weeks from it and then it just stops. Keep an eye on it and see what others think. On a side note. My return did the same thing. I determined the hard pipe...
No no no... NO lights. All those elevated levels and not a complete bacterial load. You will creat an algae bloom you do not want. There is no reason to promote algae. You will get it no matter what. But it’s easier to keep it away than to get rid of it

I did Not have to cut it. But it is soooo soft you could probably cut it with a serrated knife. But if you have access too a band saw. That would be great
Water flows thru marine pure like it isn't even there. It’s amazingly porous. However. I personally like it past the protein skimmer but I understand not everyone has that space available
Wilson. I realize drawing is not to scale. But I am curious. Is the Maine pure and sock out of the water and the water splashing on it... passing thru a second submerged block and then to skimmer
I agree except still waiting for cycle to complete. I have extra rock in the sumps so I can move them to a quarantine tank and give it some bio capability. Just waiting for them to populate
Will be adding a fish or two or three for the first couple of months after cycle is complete. My wife and I are fans of some fairly common fish such as the bangi cardinal. Any one of the fire fish. We also like a lot of the Blennys and the royal gramma. Won’t be placing coral until I see fish...
