It may work. I would personally just use a wood cutting hole saw for acrylic. No need for a diamond bit. Just go slow. Too fast and it will get too hot and start melting the acrylic.

"Good" water to waste water. Ideally you want about a 4:1 (waste:good) ratio. The extra head pressure may affect...
For the locline get a slip x thread 90 1/2"x1/2"
For the ball valve you will need a threaded reducer bushing (1"slip x 1/2" thread) and a 1/2" thread x 1/2" push connect fitting. If I remember correctly you're using the BRS reactors.
I'm using the 6000 internal. Been running since I set my tank up in December. So far so good. I love the "soft" start, it's dead silent and moves a ton of water for such a small pump.
Hopefully I'll be able to make it. And if you still have contact with willie tell him I want a real everlasting gobstopper. Not the pseudo-jawbreakers that seem to be less and less everlasting over the years.
