Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
We're likely going to drive on down there...I've needed some supplies for my turtles...and I dislike going to petco...it'll be fun to check out what stuff they have on sale too. Not looking forward to the crowd though...
Anniversary Sale
Maybe I'll run into some NJReefers?
actually - if you think about it - with an electronic ballast and halides on a timer - it doesn't add up to the pumps that are on 24x7 - depending on how many pumps you have and how energy efficient the pumps are (both for the return, the reactors, the phs and the skimmer).
To add if you RSVP the organizers (that would be our superb officers) also prep cool little name tags so you can associate the username to the person's real name. This makes conversation a lot easier since you don't have to go walk around yelling "Hey Lord Viper".... :)
I think...emphasis on *THINK* you are in zone 3....
you may need a calc reactor...
I'm in the same boat you are right now (in the sense that I own a kalk reactor but not a calc reactor)...so am curious to see how this thread concludes...
My wife and I are considering this one...although my yard is mess and full of tree roots so that'd have to get done first (to get the ground level).

While it would work and I have read about it done previously - I just don't like the idea of something that is from my fish tank going into a piece of equipment I use for cooking (albeit these days just popcorn). How are you explaining this to the rents?
looks like the only the time they appear to come thru is if you complain loudly (as harryk did). They re-did his sump...but it obviously was off schedule. Good luck!
Pete - the store is located across the street from the gas station (train station/post office) - right off the corner of route 28 in dunellen...easy to miss as the sign doesn't pop out and the traffic in that area can be rather quick. The store itself has no parking but I am usually able to get...
Unlike freshwater snails (the ones that appear suddenly on live plants), saltwater inverts spawn and generally become part of the phytoplankton soup in the ocean (or in this case your tank). If they are lucky enough to dodge the skimmer and filter feeders and any other predators, they may end up...
Not sure if you're replying to me...but not all members of amphinomidae are notorious for eating corals.

agree - sure does look like something you might find at the bait store!
