Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
whoa - i didn't realize you could type Odin...when did you take over Bill's account anyways? ;D ;) You aren't supposed to be around...I mean altohombre's friend is afraid of four-legged critters...what kind of dog do you think you are? ;D
you have to update your sig now to reflect the new 250mhs... ;)
what is that monsterous blue thing on the right...where the clown is. At first i thought it was a big clam but is it a carpet?

Almost any LFS or online retailer has it. I personally found the frozen sticks a little bit more messy. Whereas the freeze dried stuff just needs to soak a bit in water first and then dose (or use a turkey baster for more direct feeding).
I am not so sure - Hermodice carunculata typically has white bristles....google the latin name and check out the images. The fact that mike found it in his LR (instead of munching away on his coral) also makes me think this is just a big bristle worm...
too bad it's not a crown-o-thorns leg getting eaten! ;)
question - the harlequins leave the serpent star alone because it doesn't have those tubular feet?
if you can't wait until the group buy - might save you some...speaking of which - have you considered signing up to be a member? I think it'll definitely be worth your while....
30gallon is a nice size - nothing to ":P" about. I would think you could get a fish for the "lower" strata (e.g. a goby) and perhaps another dither fish (e.g. something that likes the open water column).
btw - depending on how far the fish fell from the top of the tank to where you picked it...
same situation you're in...I'm leaning towards MH right now because I've always liked the shimmer effect and I *think* the tank will not need a chiller given the ambient temp in the house.
Nice rock set up. Do you have "in progress" pics of you building /drilling the LR? I'm curious what size PVC you used and what the PVC base looked like.
The sump - are those bio balls staying or going?
The lighting - those "legs" - are they secure holding up the light like that?
btw - just...
Re: what eats Manjos
Of the thousands of seaslug/nudibranches -I'm sure there is one that loves to get it's mouth on a majano anemone. If not then I'm sure there is the non-reef safe Angels...
Given that neither natural solution may work - I think it is acceptable to consider using a solution...
Sorry to hear it...as i've mentioned before, eu-PHYL-lia corals are well known to adapt to all kinds of situations and succeed in taking over. They didn't name them after our president for nothing. :) ;D ;)
Actually just watching bax's video of his euphyllia (frogswawn) send out sweepers -...
That's only the south folks. The central and north folks are far better and nicer...
Dang where is that backspace key? ;)
welcome to njrc! Not that we haven't said it already but may as well make it official on this thread!
Congratulations on expecting a 3rd! After having two girls I don't...
I could be wrong but I thought the Aquafina Brand (by pepsi) was just NYC Tap water. It may not be NYC's but I know for sure it is Tap water from a municipality - just like Coca Cola's Dasani Brand.
I just find it amusing that Wil knew what I looked like long before anyone else in the club did....at least today I ran into mikenapoli there...guess I missed the ad hoc njrc meeting yesterday. ;) Did you guys have quorum?
