Looks good. Question...really nitpicking was checking out the lights and they saw 21W for 36 inch T5 but shouldn't T5 be 39W? I completely understand it is FO so who really cares but I am just curious.
I got this one for my fresh water tank. They make SW too...
Looks like you have the mini fuge setup pretty well. What I would do is just add the phos+silicate remover in the filter pocket. You need to make sure you change the filter on a very regular basis.....you could probably get away with cleaning it one week and throwing it out after the second...
1. I have mud in my fuge, then sand, and rubble. I would say if you have mangroves yes, it works for me but it is a good sized fuge so if space is a premium skip it.
2. Yes, you can go cheaper if you like. You want around a 6500K bulb.
3. I got pods from local folks, including some cheato and...
Second this. Use this months group buy to get a less expensive yet good quality RO/DI unit. Your flow is enough. Cut the feedings a little bit.
If you have a place to run some phos+silicate removal medium do that too.
Don't add chemicals to your tank if you can help it. Better to do the right...
I added my naso and hippo together after their time in lockup together and they get along fine. But watch out the hippo's are correctly named they grow like crazy I have been more then a little surprised.
Thanks a bunch. I feed my tank occasionally so that part I knew...it was the greyishness that bothered me and wasn't sure if my almost direct/direct placement would be a problem. I had a yellow before that I got to much algae on didn't want that to happen again.
I got two ribbon gorgonians I asked this in the thread before. One was Bright Purple and the other one was greyish...was wondering if this was a normal reaction like a slime coat? Also I saw some flesh came off a finger of the greyish one(small amount maybe damaged). Have seen polyps on both...
I live very close to the train staition too. If you want to take the train it would work great for you.
Better adventure aquarium then a jersey of those cursed Red Wings.
Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input.
I knew I was asking for trouble with the firefish...the pygmy not so much. Open tank just puts a damper on so many fish.
I just dose with two parts ...try to keep up and everything tests fairly well.
Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input.
OK well it looks like I update about once a month. I will put a FTS in the monthly meeting thread.
Maybe some camera guru can get some good photos for me then ::).
So lets see. I included the TLF reactor and am using Seachem SeaGel which is...
