Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
My 12g is home to a bunch of little shrimp and inversts. My wife loves inverts and having the 12g is nice because you can actually see them in the tank. Currently we have a bunch of sexy shrimp in there, bumblebee shrimp, pom pom crab, anemone shrimp, and a pederseons cleaner shrimp (I think...
We probably need to update some stickies, this was posted in 2008 and while it is still good there is a ton of stuff that could be added. I am working on doing a ton of content upgrades after the elections.
+1 to acan echinata. Be very careful with the placement of that coral, they have super long sweeper tentacles that are very aggressive. They can kill anything around them. We had one frag and gave it away as it was just too aggressive.
I am a big fan of 10% every week, however this is because we have always had smaller tanks and smaller tanks demanded that weekly water change. The bad part was even if you missed a week, doing %20 at once would shock the system and do even more damage. I have always been a fan of slow and...
I think you are way to early in to start worry about dosing anything for your corals. If you do consistent water changes where your tank is now, you should be fine. There is still a lot of debate over coral foods as to weather they really work or are just snake oil. If your calcium...

We ran a 4 bulb fixture over our 20h for a long time, we eventually found a 5 bulb fixture that we still use. With the 4 bulb you will be able to keep everything, just have to place the corals accordingly and pick some great bulbs.
There are a lot of nano gobies out there and barnacle blennies that stay very small and will have a very minimal impact on your bioload. Outside of those I think you are making the right decision to keep it fishless.
