Hey Ryan, Unfortunately a reef tank requires multiple roads. A suggestion that I would make is that you need to learn what you need to schedule maintenance wise for your tank. There are many different "schedules" out there. But let me give you an idea on how to start. Daily: feed fish, turn...

For what it is worth I like the LHS better then the right. If you can break up the table thing going on keep the left side it is quite nice.

Never will be easy. For what it is worth I have at least that flow going through my sump without any issues. The water just cruises over the top without much movement on the rubble and sand below.

Thanks Patriot, a kole tang was sort of towards the top of my list so that helps a lot.

I tossed out that idea before. There was some banter back and forth, I went with cutting boards though because I wasn't sure if eggcrate would stand up to 190lbs of sharp rock. I concure though the idea of putting rock directly on the glass scared me.
