Re: AC 3 or ReefKeeper
For the ORP and only one PH port how important is it if you are dosing with a 2pt solution and have one tank? Sorry I don't mean to hijack this thread but I am just trying to learn what I can.
Thanks.
I cannot help with the overflow...mine is part of the tank and it is driving me crazy ::) lots of others know what they are talking about though so good luck give us some more pics as you go.
I will be off work the 10th of Oct. That would be after the AO sale, so would know what I want, we could put it together the next week for shipping on the Friday.
They were one of the first places I ordered from...when my other tank was first up. They spent a lot of time with me talking about what would work for my tank. I still use their free drip kit. The coral food was good too.
I would be interested in a group buy from them again too at some point...
Hey Ryan,
Unfortunately a reef tank requires multiple roads. A suggestion that I would make is that you need to learn what you need to schedule maintenance wise for your tank.
There are many different "schedules" out there. But let me give you an idea on how to start.
Daily: feed fish, turn...
Looks great. Is that mimic reef safe ... beautiful fish.
I almost wish I had gone with the black sand. I like your solution for T5s.
Do you have room in the cabinate for a sump? How about a HOB fuge is there room?
Darn I wish I had all the threads for it on different forums...I think if you ask PremiumAquatics they can link you up. They were sort of "hosting" the thread that I remember reading. The Octopus Skimmers bang for the buck are very good. PA was due a shipment of the new ones in mid July but...
Hey Ryan...listen to Wendy she knows what she is talking about. Trust me or check out her tank.
Those are the same lights I have. If you want moon lights ask Jim..the seller if he can add moonlights.
It is good price better then the website...like I said before depends supply where he sells...
You and Phil are on the same page.

So as not to write the same thing twice.
That is the one that Wendy has I think or Momof6kids they are happy with it...I had one built by Orca Systems...it is sort of cross between the Octopus recirculation and the extreme. It has the Sicce pump which with the mesh mod which has more air output then any other pump its size. I have it...
Never will be easy.
For what it is worth I have at least that flow going through my sump without any issues. The water just cruises over the top without much movement on the rubble and sand below.
I tossed out that idea before. There was some banter back and forth, I went with cutting boards though because I wasn't sure if eggcrate would stand up to 190lbs of sharp rock. I concure though the idea of putting rock directly on the glass scared me.
