Well just did a bit of clean up. Tempered glass sucks, especially when your trying to get it out from between deck boards. The trampoline looks like a twisted mass of metal. Other then that I'm good to go.
Well I just woke up. Power came back on about 3am. Tanks seem fine. Just a bit cold. Still dark so I haven't been able to check damage outside, but it seems like the winds have pretty much ceased. More to come.
Well I'm gonna give it a good stir before I hit the sack for the night. My wife has to wake up early for work so ill get up with her and do a WC. In the morning.
So question all of you is. How long can the tank go without anything. I am one of the unfortunate one who has no generator or battery pump. All I have is 15 gal of fresh saltwater which I can heat if I need to.
Well the power is still going here. But I gotta add to my list of casualties. My son trampoline is in my neighbors yard, up against the trees. Ripped the stakes right out of the ground. I'm hoping that its wedged good in the trees. I would hate for this to hit someone's house
Still powered here in Bordentown. Only damage is half a tree in the neighbors yard and my patio table. You would think that with all the preparation I did I would remember something as simple as a patio table. Well I didn't remember and now I have a million pieces of glass on the deck.
Still good here as well. Only one tree down so far on my court. I gotta say though it is amazing how far a tree will bend without breaking.
Also just found out that Port Elizabeth is closed again tomorrow, so no work again.
I had some nylon rod that I just cut to size and some nylon nuts to keep them there. I've been eying up the racks from The Blue Glow, but they want to much $. I figured for the time being this would work.
Paul the water does count. I made 15 myself. And did a WC in the frag tank and my sons nano.
Since I'm home with my son. I figured I'd work on some stuff I've been waning to do. Namely making my frag tank more presentable. So today I made a new rack out of some scrap 1/4" acrylic I had around. Also used some threaded nylon rod to make some shelves at different levels.
Here is the tank...
It's set up the same as Randy's. if your ph is normal go with recipe 1, as it will tend to raise it slightly. If your ph sits high, recipe 2. I used 1.
