Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I have never had an in sump skimmer, so I can't help you there. If you are going to go with SPS and LPS then go with the 6 bulb setup look at TEK or ATI, they are among the best. Look around for sales right now, they are expensive setups.
If you are not going to drill the tank or get a sump, I would recommend the Aqua C Remora skimmer as a HOB. Lighting I would go with the six bulb setup you have listed (depending on what type of corals you want to keep).
I think you will be better off picking one yourself. Sponges and gorgonians can be hard to keep and usually need phyto dosing to stay alive. Look at the members group buy right now, the prices you get there are much much better than anything else out there. Packages tend to be much more than you...
Both of those plans IMO is too much for your tank. Also, check out the group buy that is going on right now. I know you are going to Italy, but maybe see if Greg at R2R will hold for you. Coral banded shrimp are not really clean up, yes they will grab some food but they do not actively clean...
If you can wait (and I know I can't) I believe the next group buy in January is Premium Aquatics so you could save an extra 15%. I know that is a lot to ask to wait 2.5 months, I am chomping at the bit to setup my tank in a few weeks.
The clown behavior is normal as far a a bit of nipping and chasing goes. What you want to watch out for it damage to the other fish (fins missing bits and the like) and making sure they both eat. If the dominant clown keep the other from eating that can be a problem. Generally when we add new...
I feel your pain, I had a picasso clown get sucked into a powerhead, there was no doubt about the fact he was dead because he was folded in half. I got covers for all my pumps after learning that expensive lesson.
