Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
First time I’ve heard about them. I’m still scratching my noggin on this one. I don’t understand how it works??? I’ve read this a couple times, and still don’t understand it:
"Powered only by the hydraulic energy of brine water usually lost to the drain (i.e. no electricity required)...
When I first saw the title, I’m thinking another example of animal abuse. But after seeing and reading this, I too had a good laugh. I think the guy is a bit sick, but it still is funny…and there was no abuse (of a live animal.)
Anthony is correct, old M1’s are considered assault rifles and are totally illegal in New Jersey….can’t own or register. Interestingly our local VFW uses them in all our parades, shooting off blanks.
Also look at "Play it Again Sports." I used them when my kids were outgrowing skiing equipment every year. I remember seeing a whole bunch of "cloths hangers" in their stores.
I’m not familiar with a 24gpd filter, but I’d look at the ejection efficiency. When I purchased mine, the 75 gpd membrane was the most efficient….98% ejection.
Also realize that you’ll want a DI unit as well.
I wouldn’t skimp here…..For the few extra bucks, I’d look at a 75 gpd membraine...
You’ll be giving up some major real estate with the RR…..GO GLASS-HOLES, ALL THE WAY! I’d spend the few extra bucks and get the 1500. You won’t be sorry….unless you like looking at a big wad of plastic.
You’ve heard it….algae sheets…..every day.
I actually buy the “sushi” algae at my local oriental supermarket. I get about 25 large sheets for $3.99. I feed daily, half a sheet.
Here’s what I do:
I first cut the sheets into quarters using either a paper cutter (which I no longer have) or...
Boy, I almost think I need to go looking for legal representation with what you have said! Do you know a good lawyer? :)
Or maybe I need to preface my comments with a disclaimer.
Here’s the poop: I don’t know the stability of the drug (milbemycin oxime). However, it is used in...
Why not take a ¼ pill and smash it up (ideally in a mortar and pestle), and now dissolve it in a volume of water. Now take a third of that water and dose your tank. This would be more accurate, unless you had a scale that measured into the microgram range.
As an example, you dissolve a...
It sounds like lateral line erosion

The first thing I’d look at is stray voltage….and then water quality. It could also just be the stress of being in QT.
I’d congratulate you on the pending kid, but I’ve already had three, so for me I think it’s more sympathy……but congratulations on the tank staying within the confines of the house. You’re lucky the boss didn’t have you move that tank right out the door. :p
The rock work looks fantastic from...
Glassholes! :encouragement:
It would be your lucky day if you could use the existing holes for a Glassholes overflow. They would have to be the right distance down from the top of the tank. The second issue is that I would recommend the 1500 gph overflow for that tank, and that requires...
Something is not adding up here. You are using Reef Crystals and not dosing any alkalinity and your pH is 8.8 and alkalinity is 18….doesn’t make sense! Something isn’t testing right.
Your RO filter should remove all chloramines. But if you wish to be extra sure, you can replace your “standard” carbon block with a chloramines carbon block or catalytic carbon in a refillable cartridge.

What's My Error Coin Worth?
I hate to be the poo-poo’er, but I think you are still going to find that it’s not worth much because of the condition of the coin. JMTC.
