Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I have a 12 inch compound mitre saw with stand. Sorry, I will not lend it out. However, if you bring over your wood with your dimensions, I’ll cut it up for you.
No….nope…..not a glasses issue. It’s just me….not a big reader. The nice guy I am , I’ve re-written your piece in condensed form for those of us suffering from this debilitating reading thing.
Join Nikki and I for the February 25 NJRC meeting in Point Pleasant where we’ll have deli...
Hey guys, all this mumbo jumbo sort of scares me in considering a controllable Apollo. Now I know both of you are using a Reef Angel Controller. So the question I have is if I were to use, say an Apex Jr., would I have to go through all this nonsense…..Or would it be just a plug and play kind...
It’s not so much the temperature that dictates tanks mates. Since seahorses are docile eaters, I don’t know if you’d want to put anything other than the horses (or related species) in with these guys.
George, my head hurts from reading all that mumbo-jumbo. I’m glad I got the Apollos-for-dummies (aka, non-dimmable). My instructions are simple….plug it in; push the ON button; push the OFF button; done! That’s about all I can handle.
Good luck with getting yours all straightened out.
I would think you would want to (have to) offset the overflow anyway. Doesn’t the tank have a brace right in the middle? If so, you would have to offset the overflow.
Bottom line, I don’t think it really matters which option you go with. We are not talking highly engineered water flow...
We are not talking just any old regular bubbles…..we are talking TINY BUBBLES…..In the wine, Make me happy, Make me feel fine. Tiny Bubbles, Make me warm all over, With a feeling that I’m gonna……..kill Brandon for putting this song back in my head!
For your listening pleasure….DON...
Those studs are easily removed by opening the case and taking off the 10mm nut. This can be replaced by a longer bolt (either metric (6mm) or “American” ¼ inch) and then use a spacer. Here’s an example with a carriage bolt (FYI, I wouldn’t use a carriage bolt…just for example), and a short...
In this hobby, I’d never say you couldn’t do something, because you’ll eventually find someone who is doing it.
However, it would never cross my mind to consider using a needle wheel pump to move water. They were designed to highly agitate an air/water mixture to produce tiny bubbles (Mental...
Brandon, don’t know how much salt you will need to make up each week, but 238 gph is spitting into the wind. Post up a WTB for an older Koralia 3 or 4…..you could probably pick one up for $20. Now we’re talking moving a bit more water. The more movement the better. A K3 or K4 would work...
I even think IO has alk and calc that you don’t need. I can’t remember the brand, but it’s the largest volume of salt they have at the Hidden Reef …..do I hear “road trip.” I think it’s twenty-something for a 160 gallon bucket. It’s been a while since I’ve been there, but if interested...
