I had it turned down all the way but it was still overflowing. All has subsided since then and I'm back to normal.

I'm back to normal. I don't run carbon. Everytime I put a little in my corals get very sad. So I just keep it out. I guess this time I just needed a few extra water changes. Thanks everyone for your help.

That's what I did shut it down. Gonna give it another 24 hrs. Figure I'll change a couple of gal in the morning and a couple more after work tomorrow. Then fire it back up and see we're I'm at.

That really sucks. We had a lighting strike on my house a few years ago. Insurance took care of all of it. I would imagine you would be in the same boat. In my case it blew my tvs, computer, and some random stuff all around the house.

Nikki gave me the same direction when I changed my sandbed and it went smooth as silk. Now I'm not expert but I did stay in a holiday inn once and as far a bare bottom goes I believe you need to make sure you have enough flow to keep the waste off the bottom. Mabye some of the bare bottom guys...
