Dave, i just changed the motor housing and impeller. If you simply twist the powerhead at the motor area it slides right off and you don't have to mess with where it is attached to the reactor.

My experience with my green bubble, is that it likes high levels of magnesium. What is your MG at?? Above 1300 is sufficient. Whenever my bubble starts to show signs of stress, my magnesium levels are low. I would def check you MG and if its too low start supplementing.

Brushing off the Cyano does not real help much, since it is a bacteria, so it remains in your system. When you do your water change syphon the cyano out, this way you are removing it from your tank. Everybody gets cyano with a new tank, be patient and it will work its way out. Once again best...

Do you have a pressure valve, that tells you the water PSI?? How many GPD unit is it?? 20 min is a long time with no product. Sounds like a line is clogged.

You might have the CO2 on the reactor too high. This will add excess nutrients to the tank which will promote algae growth.

I would increase to a 20 gal water change and do it bi-weekly instead of monthly. Also what type of skimmer do you have, if you have one?? Do you have a refugium?? All this would help greatly.
