i would get some emerald crabs if you need them- for bubble algae, brown waffer algae. dead fish stuck behind a rock lol- fun to watch but they like to steal food from lps.
well leaving it in pitch black should kill off any algea then make fresh salt water - liek 3 buckets worth or it and dump it in one bucket mix it, then drain the dirty water then throw the sand in bucket 2(clean saltwater)mix it, dump out bad water then into bucket 3(more clean water) should...
give the clowns some time. my perculas never wanted to go near the long tentacle anemone which was a super giant then outta no where 5 months later they wouldnt let any fish crab shrimp near the thing : /
its definitely the nicest looking clownfish in my opinion. ranks up at the top with the true perculas and the best looking picassos. Just wish they were nice temperamental fish and cheap lol
look for the fuse going to the viper alarm or where ever the power source is and unplug it? mine acts weird like if you unlock it with the alarm box the alarm will go off so i just unplugged it.
stuck your hand on some worms lol, soaking the tiny white strands in vinegar will burn them out, nothing really bad comes form it unless your allergic or something idk
Yeah somehow thermometers are inaccurate idk how thats possible. I have 3 glass thermometers with the mercury stuff in ice water only 1 went to 32 the other went to 34 and the other drooped way below 32 somehow and it wasn't sitting on an ice cube this was weird.
bax and other people reading this thread, how do you check your tanks temp? I have 3 thermometers that float an all 3 are different then i have a coralife digital. I bought a new heater today one that uses a pro and i have it set at 79 and it hasn't turned on yet. so im guessing somethings not...
yeah i kinda got it solved in my head. when it was first setup it was down in the 6.8 range and the dripps were very slow so it would be a concentrated slow drop then i needed more of it so i increased the effluent then after increasing it it was to strong so i think the monitors been going up...
Greg you never stop amazing me with your generosity. my power was out for 26 hours if my dad didnt go out and buy a generator in the morning i would have called you for help, once i got back on a powerhead and heater and a skimmer the fish started breathing normally again. Gregs a great guy and...
good luck i think it wont last till tuesday fingers crossed. that is what they said for my area as soon as they announced it the power came on today at 2 so we didnt have power for 25 hours. i already lost 1 fish and my corals didnt take it well . if you can to keep the temps up take out some...
what do you run your reactor at with its effluent- the ph monitor and the bubbles per second? mine when it was first setup by someone who had a sick tank but he got out of the hobby it was on a fast bubble like a bubble per second, a slow drip and the monitor was set like 6.8-6.9. over the year...
I have a Milwaukee regulator with there solenoid and bubble counter and a milwaukee sms122 ph meter. With the power outage in my area being for 24 hours, when they tamper with electricity they make it go on off on and off. Now on my reactor it would net c02 bubbles rise. no matter how open the...
well that isnt good is that there is little polyp extension meaning that something is pestering it, what fish do you have? coral warfare wouldn't do that maybe keep the polyps annoyed, looks like something ripped the tissue off or eat it- whats you alk at?
if it wasnt getting enough light i would say it would turn brown not white. Move it lower and make sure you give it proper flow so it has some polpy extenstion.
