hmm i was going to link my orlando pics but i can't find the thread. I recall we lost a lot of threads during a switch...oh well. Guess i have to repost them....(the avatar i have is my daughter at Seaworld during that macna weekend).

we may go...haven't decided yet. $124 a night for the hotel. when i pre-registerd for the macna in orlando, they gave me a tour of the reef exhibit in sea world which was initially boring as hell but the walk thru was a lot of fun.

hence why scarlett hermits are sometimes preferred (and more pricey)- supposedly they are less aggressive vs the other types.

Pre Macna I was a hobbyist who had read a ton of books and had a lot of experience in FW and limited in saltwater. Post Macna - i gained enough insight and confidence to breed rotifers, start a baby brine culture and stay up late at night catching clownfish fry. LOL. Rod Buehler of Rod's Reef...

mini serpent stars. not the asterina ones. The ones you get in good quality live rock and multiply like crazy in a mature tank.

Didn't know that - and uh..you should mention that before the pic. LOL.

Unfortunately not. The lens provides a very nice Depth of Focus, so the object in focus is clearly there, but the background is blurred. Therefore with a fixed 50mm, i can't really do large background pics unless i piece them together using photoshop into a panorama. This is why i was nervous...

LOL - well my tank is pretty bare - so right now it is just the 2 from Dr. Mac.

ok i'm done for now...if i find more i'll upload. Apologies again for not being around more Saturday - i would have taken pics of speakers and more booths.

Here's the only pic i had of Orange County Corals...still learning the lens...Spoke to Neal - owner I believe - and he is so eloquent and knowledgeable about the hobby. You can tell he loves it!

I spent most of my evening with M&M - and yet this was the only pic i had of them with Cherry Corals team....(oh and she is the med student getting her residency in FL - congratulations!)

I believe i heard the gents say they drove 9 1/2 hrs to make it to the swap....!
