Fisharefriends only states that he purchased 2 fish and they died.
Did you Quarantine them? What other fish are in the tank? What are the parameters? What is the size of the tank? When did they die - was it a week later? a day later? Were they eating? what did you feed them? How long...
if you take a cup of water and vigorously aerate it - does the PH change?
Also is that daytime ph? or did you measure that at night?

LOL.
Don't feel like your tank is doing anything unusual. Just want to encourage you that all tanks go thru this stage. You will be just fine. keep up with the water changes, maybe supplement the crew that has died off.
If you want you can reduce the photoperiod. But I'd consider trying...
oh i have no experience with these but i heard some aquarists use the lawmower blenny like you are thinking about , or emerald crabs.
Another more interesting selection would be a sea hare - but they will die once finished eating. Sometimes aquarists will lend one among all the tanks.
I agree with RWC...the tank looks new. The algae appears to be is congregated on low flow areas underneath the flow of your powerheads. It also doesn't appear to by dyno or the dreaded bryopsis. It just looks like regular hair algae which is very common in this hobby. What is your PH and Alk...
anyways it was a lot to take in. I enjoyed my time in FL and as I recall I ran into dnov down there...lol. A few of the other members went to the macna prior to NJ - which was at the Atlanta George Aquarium. I think Ed might have been there.
if you have an interest in the hobby - and want to...
cube tanks were popular:
Acans were very popular:
Scolys still popular:
This tank had helfrichis and filefish and scolys!
3 tiered tank - i think this was LiveAquaria - i could be mistaken.
more fish
Circular tanks:
ORA
I think this was ORA
ORA tank raised dragonets -...
dug these up...taken in Orlando FL.
All i have to say is - i have a greater appreciation for setting up a marketing display sign like this...HAHA
There are a lot more dry goods vendors showing off the latest...remember this was 4 years ago - so the equipment has changed a lot.
Tunze was...
either cyano or diatoms. Neither is harmful per se- just unsightly. Siphon out is fine. Could be the amount of food you are feeding the tank is greater than the tanks ability to get rid of it (skimmer, water changes).
i agree with paul - change out the filters and i bet your tds will drop to zero. Right now the membrane is probably doing the heavy lifting and it should be your last resort. if you make water now you will reduce the lifespan of the membrane (the most expensive component ofyour filter).
