Cool - i saw the pic and was like - ok I see the hinge but I don't see the head/legs...which means it's hiding. If it were dead it would not be able to hinge close like that I think...and it'd be might stinky....or plain empty.
thanks for sharing!
foxface isn't a tang though...rabbitfish.
I feel torn on this. I agree the fish probably deserves a better home, but let's not forget a "better" home means not just size, but water quality, food, appropriate community mates.
What I'm saying is that at the extreme, one would argue no size...
Australia and France...two countries you'd think would be "advanced" enough to realize that if a shark wanted to kill you, there would be a death every day in those waters. For perth - 5 in one year results in this panic? ridiculous. The french panic because of 2 attacks.

saw this - figured it might help to repost:
1) Isolate (quarantine) the fish if any of these things apply:
- i) Fish is covered in many areas with nodules;
- ii) Fish is being harassed by other fish;

Your ca and ph appear spot on.
I'd check the ph at night to see if there is any swing/difference. isn't Alk supposed to buffer the...
Whoa...those things...look very suspicious to me...like hydroids or similar....you may not want to have that in your tank,...they may take over.
I'm referring to what you called "cheap zoas"

oooh i didn't realize the RSM has a built-in skimmer? I use the tunze nano 9002 for my bc29. It is finicky but I barely have any life in the tank so that's probably why minimal stuff is being taken out. It did well for me (when tuned in) when I was growing out clownfish fry.
That stated, I...
no there should be no issue.
I used to do this when I had my sump directly under the tank. The ATO would be connected into the overflow just as thermosts said. Now today my sump is downstairs so running it back up to my overflow would be like 12 feet in hose and not worth it.
What is the GPH...
