Ebay Bands sale of coral, fish and other live animals

I did years ago, and you could get some good deals but that has kind of evened out. A lot of the vendors just do their auctions on their own webpages. Good for Kenny, I didn't realize so many other shops used ReefnBid.

Very nice corals, we also have a borb and a yasha goby in our tank, always been some of our favorite fish.

Fire shrimps been safe in reef tank

Typically we try and keep a pair as they will spawn pretty easily so free fish food.

Fire shrimps been safe in reef tank

We have had some for years, we have a few right now. What do you think leads to their short life span? What fish do you have in the tank?

Convert tank from FOWLR to Reef

Given the shallowness of the tank, I think you are good with your lights, you may just have to adjust the placement of the corals and rocks, like build the rock under the lights for the sps and place the lower light corals around the edges. With that size tank, you have a lot of options. As...

Convert tank from FOWLR to Reef

It sounds like you are keeping the long tank in the basement and just converting it over to a reef tank. Usually the biggest difference in FOWLR to reef it lighting, so what is your plan for lighting the reef tank? Skimmer is common for both systems so that is not an issue for you. The next...

    Clean up Crew

Also keep us update. We did a little patchwork for now, we got some locally at Petco in Brick and ordered some from NYAquatic as part of a larger order. We will see if we need to fill in the gaps.

    Clean up Crew

Where is everyone getting their clean up crews now a days? With the local stores disappearing down here, we are either looking at a drive up north or ordering online. Anyone have any good experiences recently?

I do not, mine are the AO version of jawbreakers.

    Jawbreaker fragging?

I think they are in the 5-7 year range. We got them from reefco I think back when he just setup the store. Started with one and they have multiplied, but I have never fragged them. Have a few floating around the tank as well.

    Jawbreaker fragging?

Here are my jawbreakers. You can see the babies on the left and the color pattern is random.

If you don't have a clue - at least have a plan!

A wild Bill appears. Good to see you around.

    Jawbreaker fragging?

Yeah, I agree with the other, I have never cut them and I wouldn't recommend it. Colors are completely random and can take years to even come out.

    Jawbreaker fragging?

Are you talking about cutting the actual mushrooms?
