Re: Ricwilli's 210 build
Here is a little update. I've got about 90 percent of the plumbing done.
The Parts
The drain and return pipes
Pipes going to the first floor.
Drain pipe from the sump. I still have to connect the Frag tank drain to this pipe.
Pipes on the first floor...
I have a couple of magnets that I would like to use in my tank, but they are not waterproof. How can I waterproof them? I was thinking of covering them with clear silicone. The one that they use to build tanks. Do you think it will work?
Nice rock work. I'm debating if I should pile up all the rocks together or make islands like you did. My only concern is that there will not be to much hidding places for the timid fish. How deep is the sand bed. I'm thinking of putting 2-3 inches in my tank.
Yes, this is something to really think about. I'm actually doing an up grade and my tank is a Oceanic 215 gallon tank. I think the height of the tank is 30" and I'm planing on using T5's. So I'm a little worry about height and not be able to reach the bottom.
Re: Ricwilli's 210 build

Here are the wood beams waiting to be put up.
Beams that need to be sistered.
Here they are, put up and bolted.
I wanted to sister 5 wood beams but one of them had electrical wires next to...
Re: Ricwilli's 210 build
Well maybe I do. I ran into a small little problem. I was hoping that the Iron I-Beam in my basement would support the 215 tank. Well I was informed that I needed more support.
This is the Iron I-Beam
The thing is that, the 215 does not sit on top of the iron...
I thought about this, but the vendors will be overwhelmed with all the corals that they have to hold. I will also have to remember what venders I purchased from (not good).
adesimone1, Thanks for the offer. If I run out of room in my 10 gallon, I know who to go too.
