I have a mixed reef...slowly going to the sps side! Lps are favia, zoas, chalice, clove, paly. Sps. Montipora, acro, stylo, pocilopora (spelling). Using led lighting, dimmable, at 13 hours of light time.
I was wondering what the consensus is for the length of time one has lighting on corals. By this I mean what is the length of day and night every one uses. Is it 12 hours, less, more?
Sunny,
It was great to meet you today. Thanks for the frags, they look great! My jaw is still on the floor after seeing your tank!!!!! Absolutely amazing....can't describe with words! Definitely let me know when you have another coral trimming announcement. Thanks again.
Pete
If you want a nice clean pond....rehouse the turtles. The amount of waste and the as you said the destruction can be great. Red ear sliders are omnivores and will eat ANYTHING! Fish included. If it won't fit in their mouth they will wittle away at the fish tails till nothing is left. If you have...
You have an amazing tank and setup Pablo! I really can't put words to the automation level and beautiful corals. Incredible, the amount of growth you have. Thanks for the frags and macro algae. I will give your call in a few weeks once the frags have settled in. Thanks again!
That is what it looks like! Not the same coral but yes to those long strands that are gone by morning. It seems fine and I have given it space taking into account water flow direction with adjacent corals. Thanks!
Hey, new to the club but I have a question. At the most recent meeting I won an sps frag. It looks like an acro, green with a hint of blue at the tips. The cup said blue....the rest was not legible. I think this guy is a bit aggressive. At night it will send out these long mucous like strands...
Thanks for a great afternoon. Nice to put faces to screen names. Bob you have a wonderful home and an incredible tank. Thanks for all the great work hosting by you and your wife! Although I was not a newbie...it was nice to come home with some fantastic frags!! Nikki, the green/brown paly are no...
You must be happy to have it out of the room safe and sound! The frags you gave me are doing great! The pink lemonade is showing more green on the branching section and the polyps are all out. I was wondering about the name of your rock system? I currently have macro rocks but really like your...
Great to meet you again Brian. Thanks for all the great frags. You are right the purple haze gives off a weird glow...yes I am sober! The same goes for the green slimer. All have full polyp extension and are quite happy. Thanks again, and let me know when you and your wife want to see my bees. I...
I would be interested in the Ora green birds nest, ponape birds nest, and tyree pink lemonade. I am off this WED or can stop by this weekend. Let me know what works for you.
