Would it be best to feed the fuge from the overflow or from the return pump by T-ing off and ball valving an outlet?

Anyone have any advice setting up a fuge as far as lights/miracle mud (whats it for?)/sand etc. I just got a new sump that is 48 x 16 x 18 the fuge area is 21 wide x 10 high. This will be my first fuge, so any tips would be appreciated.
