For our tank size, we are kind of understocked so I agree this helps a lot. We will be keeping an eye on nutrient levels, we are still dosing a bit below recommended and will probably keep it that way.
We have sand but have been kind of slowly taking it out. The problem is that it became a nutrient trap in our system and was keeping our nitrates and phosphates high. This is due to just having one overflow so waste doesn't get moved out of the tank fast enough.
Started dosing the Red Sea reef energy ab+ and I will say the corals like it. Colors and polyp extension look better so we will do it for a while and see how it goes. Some older pics I forgot to post.
Be careful with trying to pinpoint PH, there are many factors that can change your ph levels and I have seen people get obsessed with that number and hurts their tank overall. Focus on alk and keeping it steady and I think you will be happy. I don't think I have tested PH in the 10 years plus...
Places shutting down and then shipping basically grinding to a halt led to prices going way up. My wife and I laugh at some of the prices on live aquaria but that is the new reality.
