Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Yeah you basically need to have them on the sandbed and probably in some shade if you want to keep those colors. I was in pretty much the exact situation, bought some nice rainbows from WWC and put them under my AI LEDs. They both turned orange with no other colors. Now they are puffy and...
This is where reefer logic comes into play. "Honey with the current light fixture, I have to replace the bulbs every 6 months which adds up. Also it is going to make the tank look nicer if I upgrade and I want the tank to look good for you. We would actually be saving money by upgrading."
No, just wanted to throw it up to help out a fellow club. That is quite a hike for us and Nikki is arriving from LA at about 2 am tonight/tomorrow so the last thing she will want to do it travel.
One is wireless, as in it will sinc with other mps so they all run together. I have run a mp10 on my 45 cube but that is a 2x2 tank. I am not sure with the lenth of a 40b if that will be enough. This is where an mp20 would probably be perfect excpet they don't make those anymore. A mp40...
Here is the problem, when you add alk you are dropping calcium and if you added all the calcium (not at once but over a few days) you will lower your alk. You need to start dosing them together to bring them up together.
The standard one has a sponge on the bottom to keep gfo/carbon in place. This clogs and needs to be cleaned which is fine for gfo/carbon which needs to be replaced almost on the same schedule. With biopellets everyone uses screens that don't get clogged or gunky because you need to let the...
Carbon will help. I think what people are trying to figure out is your source of nitrates. In a nano everything is just so magnified. I am also a big fan of just a few large water changes. Like %50 a week for like 4 weeks. Or do them twice a week. The benefits to a nano is that you can do...
It is really tough to do one in the state of New Jersey for one big reason, the convention centers are run by the unions. This is NOT a bash on unions at all so please don't take it that way I am just stating the fact here. The cost of dealing with the unions for an event like this is almost...
I think all frag swaps are a logistical nightmare and the bigger equals more problems. I do agree with you though if you are working the show, hand your tickets to someone else. Nothing is going to create more issues than having anything looked rigged in the slightest sense. During our event...
Except when Vick complaines all the time about hits on him being illegal. I will take the 2 time Super bowl MVP over the QB who cannot even make it through a full season, let alone to a super bowl. Eagles fans were ready to start Foles this week, even Maclin had to remind everyone they were...
Dosing manually is probably the best way to get your feet wet. BRS makes it incredibly easy with their 2 part system, and as long as you are measuring correctly it is really tough to do something incredibly wrong at first. Once you get comfortable with that, then you can get the dosing pumps...
There is forum for all things zeo: www.zeovit.com
If you want some local advice, take a trip (I know it would be long for you) to see smcooler. I don't think he is running zeo right now but was a moderator on that forum years ago.
I cfl 6.5 bulb is not designed to grow coral. I am not surprised it is reacting negatively. You should look into getting the light fixed/replaced. In the mean time, you can move the coral up closer to the good remaining light or run a longer photo period with that light.
Are you looking for real live rock or the fake stuff? Real stuff you can probably get from fellow reefers for much better prices than from an LFS (Become a member today!). I am using 90% fake rock from AO for my new build and got some amazing brank rock from Trop.
