I didn't run a chiller on my son's 24 aquapod last summer and I noticed 3-4 degrees swings daily. My wife is adamant about running the air 24/7 >:( and it did help a little but with room temp getting up to 80+ on any given day I wouldn't take a chance.

I have found that when my bulbs get close to the end of their useful life I have an increase of algae, based on your readings it's probably the case.

He's continually moving because he hasn't found the perfect home yet with the right amount of flow and lighting. There is nothing you can do until he finds this location. Foam is the only way to protect it from the pw.
