Ok rookie, newbie, just stupid mistake.....! the pump was air bound We primed the pump and it works, I shut it off to make an adjustment , and had to prime it again.. Am I going to have to prime it everytime the power goes out or I shut it off to feed ????????

When I drilled the hole for the return bulkhead I drilled it at the bottom so I will drill the second hole in the bottom also then I guess I will build the durso pipes like the return pipes in my tank, Is that correct. ? and thanks again Chuck P

From what I have learned you have approx 8 ft of head pressure. are you looking for internal or external pump.For an external pump, I would recommend an iwaki pump with the Japanese motor I know the 70rlt is rated for 1560 gph . Plus there are smaller models

ok the #2 option is the one I will go for. The sump is acrylic so I will drill and or redrill for the correct size holes. And please forgive my ignorance but the durso pipes in the skimmer sump would be just like the ones in the tank ?? A pipe off of each 1 1/2" bulkhead to a t- fitting to drain...
